Vaccination Drive
Vaccination Drive
Sewa International TT, having previously excelled in running a highly successful Mass Vaccination Site during the COVID-19 pandemic, recognized the ongoing necessity of extending vaccination efforts throughout the nation. This commitment to public health prompted the organisation to broaden its scope, moving beyond COVID-19 vaccinations to include a comprehensive range of immunizations such as Influenza, Hepatitis B, HPV, Tetanus, paediatric vaccines, and more. A pivotal focus has been directed toward ensuring the vaccination needs of marginalised communities, with special emphasis on the migrant population.
The core objectives guiding Sewa International TT’s vaccination initiative are twofold. First, we aim to make vaccines readily accessible to those who face geographical or logistical barriers in reaching traditional vaccination sites. Second, our mission is to provide vaccines to individuals who may not be part of the formal healthcare system, particularly the migrant community.
However, despite increased vaccination awareness and access, several challenges remained. These included vaccine hesitancy, individuals residing in remote areas, and those who were physically incapable of travelling to a vaccination facility.
Sewa International TT’s tireless efforts to expand vaccination access and coverage have resulted in a significant number of individuals receiving vital vaccines, effectively breaking down barriers of distance, hesitancy, and formal healthcare system exclusion.
